Groundbakers Book Launch & Panel Discussion

Hosted by the Good Food Movement. A plant-based cookbook launch and conversation with the authors from 4:30-7pm at Yoga Under the Palms in Kaimuki.

The event is free but register to notify them of your attendance. Limited seating will be available. Bring something to sit on as there is ample floor space. Register through Yoga Under the Palms.

Join Mackenzie and Kathy Feldman, a mother-daughter duo, in celebrating the launch of their new book Groundbakers: 60+ plant-based comfort food recipes + 16 leaders changing our food system. We will have a conversation with the authors about our food system, farming, and the work we need to do to make healthy food more accessible for all. This panel will be moderated by Doorae Shin, co-founder of the Good Food Movement.

Books will be available to purchase on the day of the event. The full food & drink menu at Plant-Based Paradise will be available. While the event is free to enter, we are encouraging attendees to make a $15+ purchase from the cafe to support our local vegan businesses. 😊

About the book

Mackenzie and her mother, Kathy came up with these 60+ recipes, all of which are gluten-free and vegan! The two interviewed 16 people (farmers, doctors, chefs, activists, and more) who are changing the food system and making healthy, culturally-relevant food more accessible for all.
